that has to be on the list for me is the

U-2.

Every boy ought to have a pair of those stashed away in their local T-Hangar... :wink: What about the century series fighters? F-100, F-104, and F-106 should be included! Sikorsky S-55, C-124, C-130, C-133, Tu-16, Mig-23, Mig-25, U-2, Mi-8, Mi-24 B-36, Mirage III, EE Lightning, Vulcan, Valiant, Victor, CH-47, Sea King, Canberra, and Dassault Super Mystère.

O.k here goes,

I had to think about this and I have made some assumptions;
Assumption #1. budget no issue, therefore a/c to be indoors.
Assumption #2. Museum is in the U.S, therefore U.S bias on a/c.
Assumption #3. modification of a surviving a/c to a different varient is ok.
A/C in bold are as per list of 'already haves'.

Cold war fighter comparison hall:
Yak-23, P-80 (converted from T-33), Mig-15, F-84, Mig-17, F-86, Mig-19, F-100, Mig-21, F-4.
These aircraft are to be displayed either side of a gallery(hall) opposite their contempary.

Helicopter comparison display:

UH-1, Mil Mi-8, AH-1, Mil Mi-24D, SH-3, KA-25 Hormone.
To be displayed as per fighters.

Spook flying gallery:

Pilatus Porter - Air America Colours, AN-2 - As a North Korean spy dropper, "RB-69A" - A C.I.A P2V-7 in Air Force colours (converted from standard P2V for display), Mig-25 - In the colours of that guy who defected to Japan.

The "Cold war gets hot" memorial hall.
As a memorial to those M.I.A, K.I.A, and P.O.W on the cold wars front line.

U2A - painted to represent F.G.Powers aircraft, PB4Y-2 - presented as "Turbulent Turtle", RB-50G - presented as "Little Red Ass", RB-47H - presented as "53-4281".

The "The cold war was a recon war" hanger.

Tu-95, SR-71A, RB-36D, RC-135V, RB-45C in RAF colours.

The "Because I like them and I'm the one buying" gallery.
