Mon Jan 17, 2005 4:15 am

From AB-IX via a duthch email address

"A very good friend of mine finally going ahead with the restoration
to full flight status of N6395, 44-74924 ex Salvadorian AF.It will
be a two seater, finally out of the plastic last week and it looks
on a fab condition. To fly within 2 years. My request to fellow AB-
IXers has anyone got the history of N6395 before it was US reg.(I
have the history after it became a US civvie)
Any info about del to the USAF and Salvadorian AF would be
appreciated."

The only point is that I think it is 44-74923!

Tulio would also be a good one to contact, Latin American Air Force subjects being his focus

This was sent to me..

Dan Hagerdorn's "P-51 in Latin Americn Air Force
Service", notes AF44-74923 was FAS-410, acquired in
July, 1969.

Returned to the U.S. as a hulk, false ID was ex
FAS-400/44-11353.

Parts were used for N100DD and N345.

A picture of FAS-410 is on page 45.
