I could have made this alot harder. Orginally I was going to make the stipulation that the sanctity of the Time line had to be preserved. Meaning that aircraft could only be retrieved if they were shot down or never returned to base and so on. As long as taking them out of the time line didn't change History. Now like mentioned before if an aircraft were shot down then just before impact they could be brought back. Or perhaps an aircraft could be taken from a Scrapping yard after the war. i.e. "Dragon and his tail" etc. Doing it with that rule in mind would be a little harder.

I have only just come across this interesting thread, apologies or digging it out of the archives. I have decided to try to stick nice and close to this extra rule above... and several of mine have a very local (to me) theme to form a memorial flight and museum
1 - Avro Lancaster R5702 VN-S "Taipo" which was flown by Roy Calvert DFC and two Bars. After he managed to get it home badly damaged on one mission, it was nearly destroyed, but was rebuilt and flew again later, only to be shot down over Europe. It's wing still survives in the village where it crashed! See photos of it here on my site.

2 - Mosquito FB.VI (coded MM404/T) from No 464 Sqn RAAF which was lost on the Amiens raid. Local Cambridge man Dick Sampson, Navigator, was killed.

3 - Short Sunderland Mk III, or an MR5, that were scrapped in New Zealand after the war
4 - TEAL Short Empire Flying Boat Aoteroa (I assume it was scrapped during or after the war?) I'd have a heck of a job explaining to people how I got this "I found it in a barn, yep, a REALLY BIG barn!"
I'd use it as a personal transport with full bar staff.
5 - Lockheed Hudson NZ2028 that disappeared into the sea between Fiji and Tonga with local man Arthur Clayton onboard.

6 - Spitfire Vb EP336 in which Cambridge man Lloyd Kelly was lost in defending Malta
http://www.cambridgeairforce.org.nz/Cla ... 0Kelly.htm
7 - Short Striling I BF317 in which Martin Lord of Cambridge was killed
http://www.cambridgeairforce.org.nz/Martin%20Lord.htm
8 - Spitfire LFIXE MK529 – OU-D ‘Waipawa Special II' of 485 (NZ) Sqn in which Cambridge boy Don Taylor was killed
http://www.cambridgeairforce.org.nz/Don%20Taylor.htm
9 - Spitfire Mk I - one of Cambridge ace Bill Well's Battle of Britain Spits (in fact the one he shot down four Fiats with)
10 - Also a Vickers Vincent, probably one from No. 1 Sqn RNZAF as they were cool
I'd then get greedy and also snap up a Baffin, a Gordon, a handful of Hinds, a Vildebeeste, an Avro 626 (doubling the world population) and one or two of the lovlier WAAFs
