OK, now a few bits of info mixed in with a few questions.... Lets see who has the answers...... It's no secret that at least three of the FPL TBM's have sold..
G-FPS Bn 85460
G-FPM Bn 53857
G-LEJ Bn 69323
Nothing newsworthy, but one has just recently showed on the US registry..
Bn 85460 is now N-145WB.... listed to
FEW TBMS LLC
600 S Railroad Ave
Rio Grande, NJ
Any thoughts, meanderings, hints, educated guesses?
Also heard through the grapevine that the MAAM TBM has successfully flown....... but no one reported???????? Blasphemy!!!!!! If true.....
Also wondering about Wes Strickers three or so TBM's, plus the old Steve Hays machine, registered to the Freeburg family or group out in Ca.....
Brandon or Roger, any of you Ca guys able or allowed to give out any info....... OK, you bunch of super sleuths...... get to work! Alan

The Stars and Stripes Wing of the CAF got a FPL TBM as well. I assumed it was one of the three. Anyone know which one? Their page is down right now.

I think one of the TBMs was sold to a French owner who has it listed in Flypast for sale. Is that the plane that went downunder?

More questions than answers,

Jim

BuNo 85460 (N145WB).... listed to

FEW TBMS LLC
600 S Railroad Ave
Rio Grande, NJ

This is most likely the TBM aquired by the Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum:

There is a picture on their exhibits page.

Wes Stricker had two, only one flying the other in storage. Byron Neely's was donated to the CAF awaiting restoration. The John Freeberg Family's TBM was being operated out of the Ramona, Ca. airport. That's all I can help you with!

The one going to OZ ,is not the French owned machine, it is still for sale, the one going to oz was wrapped in plastci, the type you see boats done in, then was trucked to Quebec for shipping to OZ. Also FPL is not selling any more of the machines there putting three machines back in service, with a spare, they find they are better than ythe 802,s their water drop is better and they can make money leasing out thw 802,s Nothing can replace the TBM. One machine was sold to a farmer in NewJersey, he saw them , then bought it.

That is real interesting. The photo is FPL tanker #12 which is BuNo. 86180 ex-CF-MUD. Not the newly registered TBM.

So does this mean five FPL birds have been sold in this wave?

53857 to OZ
69323 to a French owner and now for sale again.
86180 to NAS Wildwood
85460 to FEW TBMS LLC
91426 to CAF Stars and Stripes

The Stars and Stripes Wing TBM is due to move out to Hagerstown, MD, from Frederick, for rebuild. Apparently it will be under cover there, which makes a difference I am sure! I saw it earlier in the week at Frederick, on a trailer, and with the wings removed. My guess is that it will be moving out very soon... if not already.

Cheers,
Richard

Wes Stricker is listed on the US Civil Register with three TBMs:

BuNo 85715 N65VC
BuNo 53139 N6VC
BuNo 91714 N9429Z (this is the only one that shows an airworthy date)

Hi

There is a story circulating that the TBM for Aus is in fact two coming to Queensland as well as a Bearcat. Anybody heard of a second TBM or the Bearcat?

Regards
John P

And what about the ghost Avenger of northeast Arkansas? No paint, no markings, has seemed to have disappeared into the Ozarks of Missouri a while back and just vanished. BDK had apparently solved this mystery, but then no mention of it, that I know of, for several years now.

MAPS Air Museum is also getting an Avenger. Well sort of... The replica at Six Flags Ohio was donated to the Museum.

Under Ohio Historic Airframes.

It will be a gate guard.

Going through the registry for something not in particular when this tidbit popped up...... Bn 69323, C-LEJ, has now appeared on the US registry as N-124TB. Registered to Donahue Andrew, Argyle, Tx. A great number of airline jockies live in that area, Flower Mound, Trophy Club, etc... this is all just north of DFW airport.... Any thoughts? The x-Neely TBM will be heading out to Deland, Fl with the Florida Wing of the CAF..... This is Bn 85597, C-FIMK, N-704QZ. Any other further TBM news???? Has the MAAM TBM flown? We know Mikeeeeeee Rawson has another toy coming up from Florida..... Lots of TBM movements and lots of parts still out and about...... Alan
