Super Sabres - where in the USA are they?

What is the status of the F-100Cs, F-100Ds and F-100F in the US FAA databases?
Most were based in western USA and fly at various times im told from my semi literature warbird buds.
Anyone got a clue better than them?
I understand the ex Turkish AF C models were riddled with problems and D were same.
Very few photos ever turn up of F-100s at warbird airshows or in general. nowdays
Itsa like they are rare and never want to be seen. Surely that can change if people are aware that they can fly....

My dad and I were up flying a T-6 in Huntington Indiana yesterday, and I was practicing VOR work, and we flew up to Fort Wayne. I heard a Super-Sabre call in on the radio. It was owned by Dean "Cutter" Cutshaw. It sold recently, and they were up doing training flights for the new owner.

Dean just sold his. David Tokoph of El Paso TX has his up for sale (it's also an F-100F, done up like one of the old T-birds)...oh yeah, and we have 4 of them up here, in fact, I taxied one around about 2 months ago.

Here are a few shots of F100D 55-2888 at Reno 04, Skip Holm flew it in for display and on landing blew the right main tire, the airplane was there for some time and still may be there.

And there you have it, the 7 remaining airworthy F-100's in the world...Dean's, Dave's, Bob Green X 4, and that D model, which I understand still IS in Reno, up at Stead. Six of them are F models.

Here is a list of "preserved" Super Sabres world wide. I make no promises it is complete, but if you now of any not listed here (I think there are some displayed in Greece for example), then I would like to hear from you.

Any idea where Dean's will be going? I had the privilege of seeing Dean fly the F-100 quite a few times between various Elkhart and Goshen shows. What a beast!

The one Yanks has was airworthy in civilian hands at Mojave but was trucked to Chino. It is potentially flyable.

That bird was formerly owned by Al Hansen of Mojo Jets. From what I remember him telling me a while ago, it's gonna take a LOT of work to get it back in the air.

The crew chief for that airplane works for me here at Midwest Texans and he mentioned the other day that it was likely to remain in Fort Wayne even though the owner was from Iowa (or close around there). I think with the support base that Dean has built here with ex FWANG -100 guys, that makes a lot of sense.

Dean Cutshall sure had a beautiful F-100F Super Sabre. That will probably be good if the new owner keeps it based in Fort Wayne. I hope maybe there will at least be some chance that the new owner will want to fly this beauty to a few more air shows than Dean previously did. I would love to see it in the air some day. How about eventually having plane and pilot Heritage Flight Qualified (think F-86/F-100/F-4/F-15 HF or an all North American formation, P-51/F-86/F-100 flight and Many other great combinations).

An aviation magazine (Flight Journal maybe?) did a photo shoot of an F-100/P-51/F-86 formation a few years back. The F-100 was Cutshall's, and I think the F-86 was "Mig Mad Marine" along with Vlado's P-51. I'll see if I can find the issue somewhere.

You're right....I have seen that picture somewhere on-line. It was a great shot. I wish I could have been there to see that.
