Hi,

Could anyone please tell me if there is any recent news on 43-12252, the P51 B, that is being restored/rebuilt from tiny bits, in California, and owned by Jack Rousch. Thank you in advance.

Hi John

first question:

Does your name tie in with Lt. Dean Gilmore who was lost in 43-12252 ?

Will revert on the status of this rebuild soonest.
Best regards
Martin

Dean was my Uncle

Hi,

Dean Gilmore was my Uncle. My daughter, Karen, is the one who suggested I inquire here. We have been waiting for news on this for a very long time! We heard it may be done this year. Because of my health, and my age, I am hoping it will be finished before too long, and that I am able to see her when she is finished. We have a lot of pictures of her from before the crash, if anyone wants to see them. It is our sincere hope that her history is maintained once the restoration is complete. Thank you very much.
