Hey Jim, is that still my shine on those B-24 prop domes?

Great pics, as always. You are a lucky dog! :P

Cheers!

Hi Jim,

Thanks for those shots - nice pics.

I popped into Livermore on Monday evening on the way home from Watsonville, and caught all 3 bombers returning from trips. Hope you don't mind me adding a few shots to your thread. I'll be at Concord in a few days when you stop by, hope to catch up with you then.

Jim, you're my new best friend!

I'm working on a large 94th BG B-17G commission right now (I have sketches done for a future Nine-O-Nine piece - my favorite 8th AF bomber - but it'll have to wait), but I'd love to do a B-24 or '17 scene similar to your photos where the view is from the cockpit . . .

We'll be in Seattle mid-June for the American Society of Aviation Artists annual forum, to coincide with the opening of our juried show (I have two pieces in that exhibition, which will hang at the MoF 16 June - 14 Sept), and our schedule says you guys are flying in 21 June. Hope to hook up with you again then.

I'd love to take a flight in the Mustang, but if I did we may as well fly out over the ocean and let me jump out ... the effect on my longevity would be about the same ... :Hangman: That is, unless I win the top cash prize at the show, but that's not a safe bet.  :o

Cheers!
Wade

How much time has been put on that B-24 now since it was rebuilt?
