We are shortly going to repaint my Invader [44-35898] into Korean War silver scheme representing "Hollywood Hangover" which was a electronic warfare B-26 flown by 452nd BW. My Invader did not see combat however flew with MIT as a radar trials aircraft [JB-26C] for many years so I thought we'd honour the "Crows"..

What I'm looking for are details of stencil markings etc applicable to the B-26 plus any other 'weird' things that should go on the aircraft. Any help here appreciated.

P: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget pounding on something with a hammer.

S: Took hammer away from midget.

A friend of mine who was RAAF DC-3 Captain (now deceased) took 3 photographs of "Hollywood Hangover" after crash /landing mishap at K13 Suwon. Will send you copy of his album photographs if you like. Black and white only. Not close-up detail of artwork. Other markings (probably mission count marks) visible.

On a similar note, I am getting ready to repaint my stock P-51D. I found it in a barn after being stored since 1945. The original paint is just a bit tired so I figure it's time. It still has all the original equipment and.................................*poof* ....................I just woke up. darn lunchtime naps!

OD, you lucky dog. The B-26 is one of my favorite airplanes of all time. I can't wait to see what you do with her.

Great Korean War pictures of RAAF C-47 operations plus plenty of other great USAF "stuff" including B-26 'Hollywood Hangover' . Thanks a lot..
