Curses ... I've lost my avatar - must be around here somewhere. Hello all you FP people and of course our hosts.

BTW I noticed it was slow yesterday, so whilst I agree it's about time the photo posting thingy got debugged, there could be more to this than meets the eye ... a conspiracy in other words

Might as well hold on to it, as I'll be gone before it arrives.

Also, my copy of "Angles One Five" won't play on my machine. Can you see if you have it in your library? I've never seen it, but understand it's pretty good.

I have a copy.
Yes, it's good if a bit terribly English.

I'll sort something out for you.
Also:-

Do you have precis/summary thoughts re. Fighter? I was particularly interested re. his discussion of the 109's problems, esp wing-loading and armament etc.

cheers, D

Angels One Five and The Cruel Sea are both on my wish list...

Also, thanks to you two, I've pulled down my copy of "Fighter" for a re-read. I also am looking forward to your full report, Mr. Jones. Please turn in your paper on time, to receive full credit.

Gnome
I haven't yet written it but I have stated putting a few pieces together from my notes.
I agree with everything Mr Deighton says about the 109.
I'm trying to tie together some of the original Reichlin test reports that I have in another book, where the aircraft was condemned by the test pilot.
The report was surpressed at the time but in the light of what we know now was very correct.
I've had a few work commitments today (interview) and I've spent this evening editing video tape and burning a DVD or two. See above post to Patty.
Cheers
Andy.
What I need is two ketboards and four hands.
Later
Andy

No time pressure Andy - it's a non-paying job this (or rather, that) forum.

Admit it Setter, you've known of the red button all long - don't go pointing that guilty finger at anyone else! :partyman:

In the head's study after prep.
I don't like the sound of that.
Patty did they practice flogging in American schools?
It was point of honour to take it like a man where I went to school--whatever the h*ll that was.
Enjoy!!!
