Goes to show that with enough power you can make anything fly.

Kiddies...can you say F3F-2?
Sure is reminiscent of the "Flying Barrel". Slightly faster. Bit higher op. alt., but a barrel nonetheless.

Mudge the aesthete :?

I guess it looks badass from this view but it just isn't as sleek looking as the Raptor. I'm sure it'll grow on me once it starts making the airshow rounds.

Maybe it's just knowing these will be phasing out so many better looking, classic jets that I don't want to like it. :?

You just aren't looking at the Boeing jet from the right angles

True...like the A-6 Intruder, F-8 Crusader and A-7 Corsair II...all sailor scooperuppers. Best negative comment I heard about the jet was that the Pentagon insiders derisively called it the "Monica Lewinski". I still liked it better than the F-35, especially in the VSTOL version. That version of the F-35 will be hauling around an extra jet engine, something the Boeing doesn't need to do.

The X-32 will be displayed at the NMUSAF. I wonder how many they built all together. They also have a YF-22, YF-23, and a F-22A.
