I was trolling through my local airfield today and saw this Fouga CM170 for sale....
I have the phone number on the for sale sign if you want it...

Just FYI I don't have a dog in this hunt..(Insert your best Schultz voice here) I know nothing about it except that it flew in here about a month ago...or so...

The big difference is the sound.

A Fouga is the loudest thing in the air.

The only thing that comes close is the Mitsubishi MU-2.

I heard anything from about 40.000 to 90.000 depending on condition, engine time. They are fun and very reliable. Easy to fly and full aerobatic. Question though, why is this one missing its tail end?

I would have to dissagree a little. It may be the loudest dog whistle I have ever heard on the ground, but not so sure that it is any louder than an L-39 in the air.

I have to say though ...... as for loud (and high pitched), THE HARRIER wins.

As for the tail cone, is that not for the parachute?

Fouga doesn't have a chute. Only thing up the pointy end is a formation light.
