All this talk about museum B-17s brings up some questions. I've seen photos of the restored airplane with two and three "Shoo's" on the side. Supposedly the airplane started its tour with two and ended up with three?

So, what is it wearing today? Do we know the real story behind the changes (both during the war and after restoration)? And does anyone have a wartime pic of this airplane?

Ken

That is correct. Originally it was named Shoo Shoo Baby with no pin up girl. A second crew added the third Shoo and the Starcer pin up. Starcer repainted the pin up back on the aircraft during restoration.

She is a much different B-17. There were many aircraft named Shoo Shoo Baby includine several B-17's, B-24's, P-51's, and even a P-38.

It started to bug me. I've seen that nose art when it was silver! :)
