P: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget pounding on something with a hammer.

S: Took hammer away from midget.

They are not that rare to find. It's one of those things that were all over the place a year ago, and now I need one and can't find one.

Aren't those hand cranks universally used for landing gear, manual starters, bomb bay doors, and the like?

Don't know how old this is, but I'm guessing the starter crank listed is what you're looking for.

One of the Stearman vendors may have one available.

Do you need it to display alongside Memphis Belle to show how they saved the aircraft on its final mission by cranking down the gear, having it lock into place a millisecond before it landed?

Cheers,
Matt
