For those of you who do not subscribe, you should be able to take a look at the latest edition at Barnes & Noble and select Borders and Hastings stores nationwide.

Did I read the issue correctly, in that there will be a special coming out on the P-47 survivors? Any idea when that will be avaiable? (my apologies if this has already been discussed)

Steve T wrote:Hi Tim, Jim et al--
I've another suggestion for a feature. Having recently seen "The Aviator" (in an old 1930s Art Deco theatre no less) I've been thinking about my "dream project", a movie about the 1949 NAR. That led me to musing again about just what survives from that and the other late-40s NAR meets. Came up with a list of about a dozen aircraft or major "bits" that remain. I think a survey like that, with period and modern photos, would be cool in WD. ("Beyond the Last Checkered Flag" or something like that.) Any comments?
Cheers and may WD keep going from strength to strength...

I can supply a couple of outside shots of the P-47D taken at MOTAT before heading to Wigram and then Oz if you don't already have that covered.
