AC and WI are published by the same group, right?
Well, I found by accident, that a bunch of photos that I had sent to them, had been published in the form of a four page layout, back in 1985. I am still awaiting an answer for my letter, where I requested payment from them.
Of course, I never sent anything else to them. Those people are honesty "Challenged."
Last year, two photos were lifted from LAAHS, and published in one of their magazines. They wrote "LAAHS Photo" but no permission was requested, no payment received.
As a result of this, we have disabled all options to copy photos from our web-page.

I am a bit surprised by this...how can that sort of thing happen in a country where sueing the pants off someone is a national sport ?

About 14 years ago one of Thomas William McGarry's articles that was published in another magazine was blatantly stolen and placed in a Challenge Publications magazine about aviation art. Just unbelievable!

No idea, but value doesn't seem to matter much when it comes to sueing..you can dream up all sorts of follow on anguish that having your article stolen caused you. Loss of sleep and anger which has affected your marriage , family, work etc. The more ludicrous the better.

Challenge Pubs probably has better attorneys than poor Tulio. 
I know that a healthy settlement would go right into that PT project though! 
I suspect that this would be treated as an unpaid business transaction though. The settlement would be for the fair market value of the article or photos being published.
Air Classics is not beyond publishing photos they have been asked not to publish.

Hi Scott, I found the artilce it was in the july/aug 91 issue, I must say Iam sorry for mistaking you,for a Mr Jim Thompson, mind starts to go after 14 years.
