Well, I my friend that is on the volunteer board at the museum said that Swoose has arrived at the NMUSAF. He has seen part of it, but not all. The parts he saw were in pretty rough shape, worse then the Belle was when it first arrived. Pictures will be up this weekend, as I am going down there.

Looks like I'm definately gonna have to take the "behind the scenes" tour in the near future.

That is what I keep asking. The NMUSAF says that Shoo Shoo Baby is staying, but we will see.

I for one really hope Shoo, Shoo Baby stays at NMUSAF. I really liked the opportunity to check it out when I was there after the Gathering last fall.

I plan to revisit NMUSAF early next year, and I sure hope Shoo, Shoo is still around!

I was told that Shoo Shoo, Memphis Belle, and Swoose will all be displayed at the NMUSAF. They each tell a different part of the story of the airwar.

One truck load of Swoose parts has left NASM/Garber for Dayton. The second truck with the fuselage has been loaded and should depart Garber tomorrow.

I really hope this is the case. Talk about B17 Heaven. I'd hate to see Shoo Shoo Baby not there.

Hmm..now that they'll have three Forts, they need to get at least one more B-24 for equal representation..maybe a late bare-metal Lib. 8) Too bad they traded the Lackland B-24M to the Brits.

Man...almost feels like I can exhale...still waiting for the final delivery of Swoose parts and holding breath  Would seem a shame if Shoo Shoo went to NASM unless they were willing to part with Flak Bait in trade :P That is of course if the NMUSAF puts Flak Bait back together and on display "as-is" :P

How great is it that the Swoose is finally let out of her prison cell that she has been locked-up in for so danged long???!!! The General did good on this one.

I think by doing this, we are going to see the NASM restore their B-17G. That would give life to that aircraft, that few people have even seen in the last 20 years. I have not heard any more news on Flack Bait. I was told about a month ago that if she was to come to our place, that she would not be restred, but preserved and assembled. But like I said, I have not heard anything else since other than just rumors-and we know how good those are.
