Does anyone out there in WIX Land have any pictures of the PV-2 Harpoon in civil use, that they can share?
In particular, I would love to see pictures of the Harpoon in action, sprayin' bugs, or dropping on a fire...
I know my bird, N7458C used to be based in Brownfield,Tx....Oklahoma...and at Dothan, Alabama....In fact she spent most of her time based with/along side of PV-2 N7272C...which is still with 58C in Buffalo at this time...Would be a hoot to see pics of these aircraft in thier former glory, or even to hear from anyone associated with these birds....Anybody know the whereabouts of Connie Hirth? The last owner of 58C and 72C?

How recent is this shot, buddy? Didja make your great escape out of Denver and make it up there as planned?

If so, give old "Annie" a smack on her big old belly for me. And if you are up there a turning wrenches, do take a picture of that carbon monoxide management panel amd maybe some shots of the back of the co-pilot's seat area, too. I neglected to take some good detail shots of those goodies left in place from the factory when I was a guest in your beastie last time I was up there.

No news is what we have out here in the land of sand - nothing from the cowboys nor the Indians. If I can figure out how to use this scanner here in the office I'll post some old Ralph Johnson photos of his PVs back in the day...

I have a few pictures from Brownfield in 1977.

None of N7458C but a few others....

There were a couple of C-46's and C-47's there as well...

Thanks for sharing, Ztex!

Most unusual starboard fuselage modification on N7428C. I haven't seen anything like it before. Sure would have made work on the spray system tank just a little easier, though I seriously doubt that this was the original intent of the mod. Wonder if this one had been a hauler before her role as a sprayer?

Any others?

Here are some old pics from Dothan, sent to me by a former Dothan Aviation pilot who flew their Forts and 'Poons. Sorry for the poor quality. They're scans of ancient snapshots (dated 1973).

Ztex and Dean, thanks for the awsome pics! Pooner, didja notice the right hand cargo doors on 7428? I'm wondering if this is the PV that is in Thompson's yard in Adelanto???? I have another pic somewhere of 28C...No Pooner...didn't make it to Annie this week...going to Kalispell, MT for Monday, and hoping to pick up my prop hubs and 2800 nose case in Missoula, and then stop in Buffalo....My tractor is getting way to cramped with all the aircraft parts in the sleeper and on the top bunk...The pic was sometime last summer...flaps are still on in pic..Will shoot some interior shots for ya...
