MiG-15

Sat Oct 04, 2008 8:22 am

I am looking for photos of the MiG-15s used in the USAF
MiG evaluation/exploitation program at Area 51 in the
'60s and '70s.

Thanks,
Owen

The programs that operated out of Groom Lake (HAVE DONUT, HAVE DRILL, and HAVE FERRY) flew MiG-17s and a MiG-21. The follow on CONSTANT PEG programs that flew out of Tonopah flew MiG-17s/21s/23s, but not MiG-15s.

So far as I'm aware, no MiG-15s were operated out of Groom in any programs that are currently known.

The MiG-15 that defected out of North Korea in 1953 (and is currently at NMUSAF) wasn't operated out of Groom so far as I understand.
