FAA Historical Registration Record Search

Fri Feb 18, 2005 10:50 am

Does anyone know if there is a resource for looking back through old FAA records? Specifically I'm looking for information on my two Stearmans; the former N5194N and N9198R.

thanks,

Sure, hit the FAA website and there is a page in there on how to order a copy of the FAA records of a particular aircraft. You need the make, model, s/n and the N number and about 7 bucks per aircraft.

Contact the FAA at this address: http://registry.faa.gov/ They will have the history of your a/c. If they are currently regd. you will most likely get the history on a CD in PDF format. If not currently regd. they will come to you either as microfiches or xeroxed copies!
