God willing and the creek don't rise, Art Nalls is planning on flying the SHAR at the Culpeper, VA Airfest on October 11th. If you're in the area, you might want to come on by!

More info on the show here:

I changed the title of the thread. Mudge was right, it was a little confusing.

Yep. This weekend we have Winchester (OKV) and Hagerstown (HGR) and next weekend is the Culpeper (CJR) airfest.

Culpeper is National Capitol Squadron's home base, and Airfest is a really nice, low-key show. Pretty much a "gathering of friends" that just happens to have waivered airspace!! :)

Come on out, and if you see a short guy in an Day-glo vest with a cowboy hat, that'd probably be me. Say hello, throw money, etc.... :)

But got the Argies... It's sleek, grey, maritime and mean, and it might be called Bruce...

Jase,
You forgot to mention the long hair and answers to the name "Little Joe".
(Sorry, I couldn't help it.)

Yea, OK, I gotta ponytail too.... but there's only a few folks I answer to the Lil Joe crack from. (Unfortunately, Daffy, you are one of em...eesh) :).

Seriously, anyone in the area come on out to Culpeper....you can't beat the entertainment for the price ($free!!)

That's awesome! Congrats!

Art is one funny guy! Here is a quote from his blog on his website:

"We have removed additional weight - approximately 120 lbs of completely useless weight. (I had a very funny joke to insert here, but was nixed by my wife. No sense of humor at all. Please just think of someone who’s a pain in the ass and insert that name for the 120 lbs."

:D :D :D

I love reading Art's updates!

We have improved our emergency procedures. Our checklists and manuals were written in “Brit.” No offense to our British supporters, especially since you invented the language, but we were confused by instructions such as “carefully inspect the fuel cell with a torch.”
