Hi Mustangdriver;
I can't get over the co-incidence that my son has two beautiful showcars. a General Lee, and a 1967 Fastback Mustang with 540 hp.
I have pre-war, sigle seat, open wheel race cars. One is a 1936 British Skirrow that is 4WD-chain drive, with .A.P. race engine. that has never been modified or updated since 1936, Still has original paint. But I love that General Lee with the horn that plays "Dixie."

I couldn't resist this, a car and a airplane, taken in the early 90s at Universal Studios in Orlando. Note the P-51D "car" in the background to the right: Image
I have a photo somewhere of my "car" with the Olympic Flight Museum's P-51, need to pull it out and scan it eventually. I'd like to get my wife's 06 Mustang (which still doesn't have 5K miles on it yet) next to it as well someday. My main ride is a KIA Sorrento I just bought last month (which has a solid OD green antenna ball on it) but there's nothing special about that. But for now, here's my favorite "car," a 1944 Willys MB with some planes in 2005:

A Subaru SVX!!! - Man, I wanted one of those when they came out, but couldn't afford it. I guess it's just as well because of the transmission problems they have. I never saw many in California, but there were quite a few in Illinois. How does it handle with the 4WD?

I can't tell you how many people have mentioned they saw these and were absolutely convinced they were real parts!

Don't think we've seen anything like these two so far.

My MGB and my good friend Melvin's Rearwin Cloudster, in the UK at Popham Airfield. Sadly the MG was sold when we left.

We were lucky down here, we got a different trans to the one you guys (US) got and never had that problem. The US trans problem is also over- rated anyway, a trans cooler and external filter seem to beat it.

As for handling, it's the best handling car I've had with just the occasional bit of lift-off over-steer on slippy surfaces when you are pushing it

no arc

JDK, that is a great photo, but for your friend it is a bad idea to make a habit of standing or walking in the prop arc. I know of two accidents, one fatal and one severe injury from props. Here is an example that made it clear to me. Do you recall a few years back on Sat Night Live that John Belushi was a Japanese ninja and he had this big sword. What ever he was doing such a selling pizza he'd yell some oath then cut off a piece with the sword. The image someone told me, was to think of all props as about like a crazy guy standing there with a big sharp sword in his hand. It is something to respect and avoid if you can, not something to pet.

By the way, I love that big wooden prop, it would be a shame to put a dent in it with someone's head. And you look quite dapper there beside the nice MG, sort of a Redford in the first Thomas Crown Affair. I used to race one of those to school most every morning.

Looks like like real P-38 parts too me! I remember seeing a nose off of a P-40F there too once.
