The day started off at Indianapolis International at 730, and dad let me fly over to IL from the front seat while he coached me on the finer points of instrument flying on the way. We (namely I) forgot the time-change from Indiana to Illinois, so we arrived an hour early. We found our airport (not even on a sectional!) and went to another airport in Paris, IL to fuel up. Here are a few shots from Paris.

Early morning in the fall is absolutely beautiful here in the midwest!
Note the General Lee in the background!!!

I do like the Spanish schemed one - looks like a great day.
Thanks for the pics.

Nice photos! Small correction though, the number 39 T-6 is now owned by David Folk. His old tri-color T-6 was sold to a new owner. One of the Schiffer boys owns the Spanish T-6. Looks like it was a fun day, wish I would have known about it.

Personally, I would love to see more pics. The more the merrier.

Interesting observation. "Experiment-lite"? What is the performance difference I wonder?

A couple of generic shots too...
My un-artistic attempt at framing and composition.
If you haven't taken a picture of polished steel and appear in that same picture, shame on you! (And this was the only angle I could get the most T-6's in the reflection)
Probably my favorite...
