Some Rich Kolasa slide scans

Been scanning some lately, here's some interesting stuff from my youth (which I guess is officially gone now...).
B-25 Departing Teterboro, NJ for the UK for "Hanover Street" movie (5/78):

Sikorsky at Oshkosh 1994

Cliff Robertson's Spit at Reading 1976:

The "end of the runway" at our home airport, Caldwell-Wright in 1978:

The Save-a-Connie taking off at Oshkosh in 1991:

And one of my favorites, an F-5 Lightning and Corsair fuselage in PA in April of 1973. I think it's Perkiomen Valley Airport (don't think it's New Garden), and I know the F-5 wreckage was with Tom Reilly in 1999. It crashed on a ferry flight, not sure of other details. This Corsair, is it the F2G that Bob Odeggard flies? Any input?

Cool pics man. I love the B-25 take off.

Cool photos. The B-25 is N9455Z "Tokyo Express" in May 78. Any chance you might have more of the 25s during their ferry flight?

I have a feeling the P-38 is 44-53193 while at New Garden as I believe both the Lightning and Super Corsair lodged there at the time.

Is that Sikorsky the one at Bradley?

That Connie pic is spectacular! Thanks for sharing! :D

No, it's dormant in Texas. This is an S-43, twin engine. Bradley has the S-44 4-engine.

Thanks. I'm not sure what I might have in archival binder pages in closets, but I have this one of another B-25 that day. I think there were 3 that departed, but I was 13, so I'm not too sure.

Any chance that P-38 & F4U shot might actually have been taken in Willmington, Deleware? I think what were looking at is a couple of the planes at Alexis DuPont's "Aidair" Museum.

Check out the guy in the background, apparently keeping a firm watch on the photgraphic activities. :D

I don't think so. We used to fly down to Wilmington for lunch now and then, but that was park the plane and walk to the Dutch Pantry. I don't remember any "exploring" for warbirds there, but it was a long time ago. I remember flying into New Garden, Van Sandt, Perkiomen, and a few other PA airports. I'll check with Unc tomorrow.

I think this B-25 here is N86427 - anyone? anyone?

I remember seeing my first Mustang at Pease AFB in NH about 1973. The pilot/owner was a man named Trainor from PA IIRC. He talked of owning a basket case Super Corsair with the R4360 engine. Sadly he was killed just a few weeks later.

that was John Trainor, yes, a super guy. I have a lot of shots of his SNJ, which we used to see at Sky Manor or Van Sandt Airports.

TJ is correct, the P-38 is 44-53193. That is the exact scheme it wore at the Age of Flight Musuem in Canada. No idea the location though...

My uncle confirmed that the photo was taken at New Garden in 1973. It is Race 57's fuselage in the photo. I didn't remember, but the wings were around there and still red.
