Hi all

Sorry folks I deleted the original of this post whilst I was editing it the other night

There is news of new aircraft rebuild projects apparently being imported into Australia. The sources were reliable and the timescale is over a year or so.

There will be multiples of P38
Zeros
P40s
and a single P47

I cannot yet confirm who or when they will arrive but as it happens I will post. I am confident that this is further strengthening of recent activity here and that in the future more of this will happen here as the economies of rebuilding aircraft in Australia and New Zealand combined with the standards of technical competence mean we are ideally positioned to undertake more projects from accross the globe.

Hey Setter!!...I followed the "World Tour" with great interest! As for
the P-38's..finally "ditch digging" has become an honourable and
worthwhile pastime! Thanx for the re-news!

Thanks for the info., John. The news just keeps getting better and better in Australia. Will Precision be handling the rebuilds, and are all the American fighters from Clark?

Hi

No none of the sources or destinations of the aircraft are able to be announced yet- sorry but when able I will post - I can say that if and when the Phillipines stuff becomes available I imagine it will not be for some time yet - this is not from there.

Regards
John P

Where is the 'fabled' TBM and the Bearcat for the Gold Coast. If it was shipped per last year's notice it must be coming via both poles and a round the world tramp steamer....the guy told me he bought not one, but two TBM's [why?]
