Came across an old set of photos, from a 1978 airshow. Been scanning, so here are a few. Please excuse the quality, it was an instomatic and I was 16!

Holedigger,
Thanks for sharing. Regardless of quality, at least you took the pictures, saved them and now have scanned them for us to enjoy.
Do you know the indentity of the B17 and/or the "Zero"?
thanks

The B-17 is none other than "Texas Raiders", will be great to see her fly again some day. The "Zero" is one of the CAF Tora birds. None of my pics are sharp enough to read the numbers.

I have a few more from that batch to scan and clean up if anyone wants to see more

I agree with John--having the photos in any condition or quality is still extremely cool! I took more than my share with an Instamatic.

We appreciate you sharing them.

A good deal of Photoshop "dust and scratch" removal, Color Correction and Curves adjusting went on as well! These scans look much better than the 30 year old "snap-shots"!

Much as I tried, I could not pull the tail number on the "Zero", next try is to scan the neg and try from there, being one generation newer than the print.

Hey thanks for posting these. Can you tell from the photograph of 0971 if it is B model 61-0971 or HC/MC-C-130H 65-0971. The squadron and antenna would support 61-0971, but by most accounts she was already in Paraguay. The block of white stencil just below the windows should have her full number, if they can be read.

Thanks again

This is the best I can come up with on this A/C. I have a cockpit shot of it too if you would like

Do they still stencil the credit card location with the rest of the info? That is great.

WOW! That zoom is great. B-model as I suspected 61-0971. She is still making a living in Paraguay. Great shots, thanks again.

Wow! Look at those bellbottoms the guy's wearing in front of the P-3. That Cobra looks new too!

If you listen real close, you can here "Cool and the Gang" on the loud speakers!
Here are a couple tail draggers.

Photoshop CAN do wonders with those old Instamatic shots that you thought were trash! Color Balance, Contrast, Curves and of course, dust removal!
