Kingman AZ

When I got married, my bride and I went to Vegas for our honeymoon. We went for a drive, seen the hoover dam and then off to see the big hole in the ground. Well little did she know, I had other ideas. I had always seen pics of it and being that close I had to go see Kingman AZ. Was disapointed to see all the saab 340's that used to fly here in vt. But was neat to see historically. If i only knew that there were still parts and pieces out there!!!

Any you guys get to go out there and pick up any of it???

Hi Jeff:

Hey your a nut just like us! Just kidding.. I went there once and saw the WW2 hangers. Kind of reminded of those movies about Roswell. I don't think there's anything out these of any value. Just some old fuel bladders from bombers. I think I'd rather get something productive done around the house or at the airport. :D

The town museum in Kingman has a bunch of pictures and things found out there. One of their pieces was a section of a B-17 that had the nose art on it. Guess someone had the thought of saving just a little aluminum from the smelter. Was neat to see how rosie did her riviting. Had a few that were a bit rough.........lol
