T-28 in Kansas or Phoenix?

Tue Mar 08, 2005 1:09 pm

Friends,
I operate a vintage plane ride directory at http://www.planeride.info and from time to time, I get a request for warbird rides. Most people don't understand the rules and don't know that a lot of warbirds cannot be operated commercially.

Anyway, I have a request from a lady who's dad is having his 70th birthday. He worked on T-28's when he was in the service and he wants to ride in one for his birthday. He is in Phoenix and she is in Kansas.

I have some friends with warbirds in my local area and sometimes they will give a veteran a ride. Sometimes they will take someone flying and allow them to share the expenses of the flight.

If anyone has a T-28 in one of these two areas and would be willing to be contacted by this person, please let me know at:

rick@belleaireaviation.com
or
info@planeride.info

Thanks,

For what it's worth, there is an outfit at Mesa's Falcon Fileld that rebuilds T-28s...they may know of an owner willing to go along.
For the woman to find out the name, have her call the airport manager's office.
