hey everyone,

i've been absent around here for a bit as since last tuesday night my life has taken on a major change. my girlfriend of 9 years and i broke up and she kicked me out of our apartment. while it was my decision to end things it doesn't make it hurt any less. we have not been able to make each other happy for quite some time even after discussing things and i decided i had to move on. she does not feel the same yet and i hope she can come to terms with this. i love her but had fallen out of love with her. it'll be nice to get settled and caught up with life in my new place. it's gonna be rough for a while but i feel i'll come through this for the better. i've always been one to think about others and keep them happy but this time i had to do what will make me happy.

thanks for being around, wixers.

-al

Which brings to mind a Tom Arnold quote from some movie or the other:

"Women - can't live with 'em, not allowed to shot 'em".

No disrespect meant, just sharing your misery and trying to put a smile on your face. Been there, done that. A beer will be consumed in your honor this evening.

Which brings to mind another quote, I think from Bugs Bunny:

"Women are like street cars - there'll be another one along in a few minutes."

Sorry to hear that Spooky. We've all been there. I know it doesn't make it any easier. Maybe now you can find a cool girl that's into warbirds! This is just one more reason to go cruising for chicks at airshows!

I am really sorry to hear that Al. Take it from someone that just went through what I did. You will have doubts and you will feel sick for a little while. But little by little each day, you are going to get better. Then one day you will realize you are still standing, and that you have gone through it, and you are ready to move on. If there is anything you need, you know the number man.

Sorry to hear that. I think we've all been there at one time or another. It especially sucks to break up during the holidays. Hopefully everything will work out for the best.

Sorry to hear that, Al. That's a rough decision to make, specially after having been together for that long. But things will get better, it just takes time...

well Al, Now you've gone and done it!
You are now One of the FREE, Free to go where ever
with Whom Ever you choose, and not answer to anybody but maybe the Boss,
unless you are the boss.
All Roads lead somewhere, and not necessarily to Rome, though you could go there if you wanted, and at less expense.
H e l l, anywhere with less expense.
Take a long desired Road Trip, go where you've always wanted to
go. You could find everything you are looking for when you get there,
then again, maybe not, but that would call for another trip.
Aim High, or go low, and having been there, low just sucks.

Al,
Sorry to hear that the wheels flew off your relationship! It took me a really long time to get over being kicked to the curb by my most recent ex.

Take all the time you need to get past it, don't get in a hurry to get another relationship going on the rebound, it'll just hit the rocks too.

Actually, after being divorced all these years (coming up on 8 soon) I sort of enjoy the freedom of not being obligated to call and report I'll be later than I thought, I just tell the cat 'I'm outta here, see ya later, watch the house' If she rolls over and opens an eye so much the better.

You'll find someone special when you aren't even looking, if you are on the hunt, you'll just be frustrated-Hang in there brother! :)

OK buddy! Get out of Dodge and get your head cleared out some! Enjoy the museum, I'm one of those who just tries to soak in the scale of that much lumber stacked so intricately, by guys using pretty rudimentary equipment and bucket loads of ' Norwegian steam'

My friend/roomie (who happens to be a gal) is really excited to see the place. I am too.
