Hooray! I am ready! I still worry over 112 - she's still at Chandler Memorial as of this afternoon and I know she was sad to see 57C leave last month. I felt as if I'd broken up a family of stray cats. I patted her fat belly at 4 p.m. today and told her I hadn't forgotten her and that I'd be back.
I'm sure hope I'll be wrenching on 112 soon - hope the new owner agrees with me that she's worth the ferry flight versus me having to pull her wings and truck her out....
Pooner worries that too many PVs leaving airports on trucks will become a permanent kind of thing for this aircraft type. Either they go out on trucks or in scrap metal bins, but as long as I can still turn a wrench and yell at someone, the scrap thing is not gonna happen. Not what I'd call a good turn of events for neat tanker airplanes ...
When time permits, inspire me with your shots of 112 in her glory days!

I would appreciate the use and of course will give full credit

Thanks guys for the use of these shots. I am trying to put together a small F7F web site similar to my A-26 Site which works on the more pictorial representation.
All my sites are put together using other peoples efforts and knowledge and hard work, I just try and bring it together in the form of a scrap book.
I know there are guys out there that will frown on my efforts but its just a hobby and a place for anoraks like myself to acquire visual information about these aircraft.
If any one has issues regarding the use of their shots then I will act accordingly by either deleting or acrediting.
Good work guys, I love this site

Malo,
The two C-130's at Visalia belong to TBM Inc. and are currently being stored in the parking area that TBM leases there. This year they were both flown out of Redmond,Oregon where they had been stored because Butler Aircraft's leased parking area was reduced due to new hangar construction at Redmond. There are pics of these airplanes at Redmond in my thread:
http://warbirdinformationexchange.org/p ... hp?t=20695
There are pics on Page 1 and some shots of the Green Herk leaving Redmond for Visalia on Page 10 of that thread.Incidentally,Tanker 64 is currently flying test and proving flights for a partial glass cockpit for C-130 retrofit.Norm Stubbs sent me some pictures the other day,but I haven't moved them to Photo Bucket yet.I believe that Tanker 63 is also with T64 in Mojave doing other tests for a military contractor.
Also, thank you for the comment on the F7F thread,Hercules 130.
