We got the wings on today. Our Royal Visitor got a taste of snow this evening and how it screws up our road system here in the colonies.
1st we got the wings in a position to remove the wings from the stand.
Rotating from vertical to horizontal.
Fitting the R/H or Starboard wing.
Same process for the L/H or Port wing.
My camera batteries died off so maybe Jim has some good pics to post.

Big Fred and I are standing here after our warm beer and tea. Rich has pretty much got today's assembly covered and here's a final shot for the night. We got a lot done today. Couldn't have done it without Fred and Rich and Charlie and Karl and Rich C and the kids blah blah blah. Thanks all.

Looks nice. Couldn't be too hard, 5 big pieces. I put together a 1/18th scale Hellcat in similar fashion the other day:
By the way, that's a weird lighting situation with the SNJ. It's like a certain part of it is all washed out. Hmm...

Our good friend Tom Duffy lent us his spitfire trestle; apparently there are only two left. It is really neat and quite British. At one point trying to get the wings mated we were rocking the plane pretty significantly and it was quite stable. Check out the ratcheting mechanism to raise and lower the bird. Coarse threads (left hand) being driven out of fine right hand threads. We told you it was British.
