Wow thanks for sharing that. I am a TWA brat. My father flew for them over thirty years starting on Connies and retiring on the L-1011.

My dad was TWA until TWA was no more...he snet me a few images of this aircraft, but none of the interior stuff...thanks for the extra info!

They also operated a P-61 at one point for weather research...I'd love to see a few imagew of that one as well.

It looked really cool and comfortable until we got to Frankenstein's operating table with Igor crouching in the background! :D

I'm trying to figure out where the bomb bay was.

Is it the area with "Frankenstein's operating table." Or the area where "Igor" is "crouching."

Super cool. My Dad, Brother, Father in Law, & Mother in Law all worked for TWA. Never knew they had a B-17.

TWA held the civil type certificate on the B-17. With their final demise, who holds it now?

Dean the curious

My 195 is painted in TWA colors and has embroidered TWA wings where the compass card should be-fine, except I come from a PAA family. My dad would have a heart attack if he knew! Clippers rule!
