We're in. Someones interested our home field would be a good place. About 100acres of concrete and a willing city to help. Someone give some teeth to this thing and see what we can put together in Hondo, Texas. Pretty near the center of the country, if someone has a better place let us know.

I'd bet you could also get more planes to show up... if this weekend was any indication.

Thanks Cuz Karen, forgot about the Belle after all its' been about 24 hrs since I last saw her. Of course the other two in DFW area makes seven right here in our own back yard. How many would it take to have a really good "Type" gathering? I think ten or twelve would be a real coup. Anyone else think this is a viable attempt? Where is Dans C-47 located, and is it a flyer?

I think Dan's C-47 is based out of the St. Louis area.

Don't want to be a wet blanket, but how are the accommodations around Hondo if there were to be such a gathering. Also, could we get a decent crowd to go that far from SA? What time of year? Something like this time of year?
Seems to me that you almost have to have someplace where an audience will attend for it to be economically viable - unless all of the owners are doing it just for fun, like last weekend. :D

Ryan - who would be very happy to participate in some sort of gathering.

That is the drawback to Hondo...............but its' only 28 miles to San Antonio. Way people act around here that like a death march. Heck they'll turn around and drive 130 miles for a Jr. High volley ball game , but 28 seems to much for most.
