Has anybody seen any new movies? Are do you guys just stay home and watch mud wrestling on TV?

I saw W, give it a C+,with the part about the cabinet debates being interesting, THE CHANGELING, an A-, the new Bond, C- at best, a flat techno chase thing with no depth. It's best and only saving moment is the aircraft chase with the C-47 and SF 260 flown by Steve Hinton Sr. and Jr. Real airplanes, not computer or models. The new Bond has about as much acting range is a cigar store wooden Indian, and the new Bond girl is nowhere near as memorable as earlier ones.

Last night I saw THE BOY IN THE STRIPED PAJAMAS. This is really well filmed and well acted. It is heavy, don't take any kids to it, but for people with a strong stomach it is well worth seeing. I wouldn't make a big dinner plans right afterward, I know I didn't feel like eating. A lot of people have said it before, but it reinforces "NEVER AGAIN" when you see this much evil wrapped in almost normal packaging.

I'd agree with Bill about the new Bond - reminded me of a bad copy of The A Team, except without the classy acting.

Went to see a couple last week - Ceiling Zero and Only Angels have Wings. Jimmy and Cary were on fine form. Off to see The Dawn Patrol next Wednesday Thanks to the Library of Congress and the Melbourne ACMI / Cinematheque we've got some classics on the big screen. Wooo!

I have just seen a couple of nights ago "The Boy In Striped Pajamas." My goodness. I can't recall the last film which made my heart that heavy. It was a very sad film, but very beautifully told.

I've just seen a bunch of B25 taking of a carrier. Very cool low flying flight scenes!

Not really a movie, more like a documentary; I saw Barnstorming. Available only on DVD.
If you like a (true) story about low and slow flying, strangers meeting and becoming friends because of airplanes and kids getting excited about airplanes. This might be worth watching. 48 minutes long. I enjoyed it. There is a brief discussion about it on the WIX Vintage and General Aviation Forum.
