This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

holy crap no kidding?!

That is great news Jeff.
There are a few motels in the town of Geneseo. But book them now cause every hotel will be booked within a 100 miles of Genny within a few months!
Can't say about the shuttle service. I guess some pilots stay up at the Collage campus. But you can stay at the field all night if you want. With the usual WIX contingant and they bring beer!

working on accomidations at the dorms....................trying to get the ducks in a row on who is comming so we can get them reserved. Doing this early, they dont even have the registration forms printed yet:) so we should be in good shape. I am working on a invite to send to the addresses on registered airplanes so they all get the word because I know that not all the N owners are part of the Yahoo group i have. I think we will get a few guys that have projects for a good information swap which will also be great.

The biplane gathering starts Wed so i am letting them all know that. I dont know when they will all show up but we will probably head over on thursday. But I have been setting this up for the Warbird show for the fact that some of the pilots that flew the planes that they are going to feature in 2009 trained in N3N's:)

Ok...you've convinced me. I've made reservations for next year at Geneseo.
Now...tell me everything you think I should know. I've read the website but that just tells me how great it's going to be...ya-da-ya-da-ya-da.
Gimme' the inside scoop.
Thinking of going over the border to visit the CWH museum. Is
that worth the trip? How long does it take to do the museum?

Jeff,
One thing about the dorms, if you stay there bring a fan because it is HOT! It takes a little getting used to, our group stayed there last year for the first time because the Quality Inn was sold out. (Which as of October it is already sold out again for Gennie week!) I think the bunch of us 40'somethings had a good time acting like 20'somethings and reliving our college days!

(Or for some....barracks!)
At night its also great to leave the car and just hit the pubs in town and then stumble.....er....walk back to the dorm room!

Aww crap I haven't book anything yet. Yep...Im screwed!

I could always stay down at the field at night. I'd be pretty smelly in the morning though.

Do what I did this year. Camp in Letchworth State Park! Or rent an RV.

I found it pretty easy to get rooms within 30 miles of the event last year, even just a few weeks before the date. This N3N gathering must be pretty hot stuff.
