Saw an F-22 solo over Palmdale Ca. Yesterday...lots of Bugs and Superbugs buzzing about the house over the weekend...a few AV8's, HH-1N's and the odd Aussie from the Det here for the next year...

Somethings always flying here at China Lake.

Recent thread on the Death Valley message board about "buzzing"...most desert travelers apparently LIKE the "airshows" put on by who ever happens to be trimming the sagebrush in these parts!

I was working in the garage yesterday afternoon and was pretty bummed that I wasn't able to drive out to Fantasy of Flight and meet Scott. I heard some rumbling in the distance so I walked outside to investigate, and watched the Collings Foundation B-17 and B-25 fly overhead and turn for landing (I love living in the flight path for New Smyrna Airport). Grabbed my son and headed over to the airport for about an hour.

Is that what the ground looks like?

We just go another 3 inches of snow (on top of the 12+ we already have). More snow tonight. :(

I can't wait for spring, Watching the Corsair Experience is really getting me into the Air show Mood.

was in vegas 3 weeks ago, saw some black / dark gray f-16's over nellis afb while wreck chasing, they created a great feeling of atmosphere while searching the ww2 / korean era wrecks we explored. got back from tampa / st. petersburg florida yesterday after 10 days r&r, saw a number of coast guard c-130's flying due to multiple days of crap weather. while c-130's may be run of the mill by our wix high champagne standards...... these hercs were flying pretty low, & definetely raised the goose bump factor with their sound!! damned cool!! 8) 8) i loved it!! tom

Alas in New Bedford all we get is small GA aircraft and the occasional corporate jet. And Pawtucket will be worse. I need to move in an airport hanger :)

Hi Bilwor:

i saw the B-17, it looked very nice, and there was a P-51, A-10, and NA-50 replica, and 2 stearmans at the airport today.
