A 130,000 sq ft hangar filled with 20 feet of foam. It also spilled across the ramp before they got the doors closed. There is a Long Beach PD helicopter submerged in the foam. Oops :shock:

That happened to Eastern Airlines back in the early eighties in Miami. They had foam machines hooked up to the aircraft in for overhaul. I was working in the aft cargo when the warning siren went off. The machines started pumping out foam, most of the windows were out of the DC-9 and it started to ooze out all over, through the windows, doors, hatches..... WOW! The stuff sure stinks, not like bubble bath......

That happend on the Kitty Hawk once during a cruise. One whole hanger bay filled up with AFFF...and the Hoover guys had a bird blown open for a phase! :shock:

That happened out here in Pittsburgh not long ago either with two G-5's in the hangar.
