Actually I think it is really quite original -- as I remember the originality came about through a liberal application of Scotch whiskey -- applied of course, to the owner and his friends, not the airplane...

Not many people realised that the scheme was acutally removed after a legal challenge. Lawyers made it clear that the scheme was a clear breach of the trade mark colors and logo used by their client, Tinker Toy(TM).

Screw them!!! ... , I'll back you up. Sounds like a good idea. I'd like to see some close-up photos of Pima's collection.

All 300?? :) Seriously, tell me what you want to see photos of and I'll see what I can do.

I would love to see some close-ups of the interior of the cockpit in the new Oscar.

Not much to see if I remember right. There was a seat that wasn't even installed right and maybe a control stick but not much more than that. I think one of my coworkers took some photos before we put the plane back together. I'll check with him next week and see if he still has them.

Not P-47, but a good thread subject is always the authenticity of Warbird paint schemes...

I've been told that some of the stencils on this airplane were not placed correctly!

I said to Ken Burnstine at the time that I thought 'Invasion Stripes' would really set it off.
