Mudge asked a question about "youse troops" not seeming to like T-28s. I was confused as to the language at first, then realized " youse" may be Brooklynese for you. So I translated it into Texan, and could work with youall not seeming to like T-28s.
Anyway, I gave my OPINION,with the disclaimer that I only had a little 28 experience which prompted other WIX guys to turn off Ultimate Fighting and perhpaps even turn down Rush, long enough to tell me I was wrong.
Jack posted a photo and wrote of a hor stab being damaged in the military. I replied on that subject, Based On My Memeory from back about 13 years. Of course, now I was even wronger. And as I wrote, I wasn't certain, I just recall it that way, and of a mod or fix.
I did not have access to all the NATA articles, or the Osh forums. I did read a NTSB report, which does Not mention previous hor stab cracks or problems. So where did I get my idea? I looked farther.
Then I found that Hellcat had started a topic on Jan, 03, 08, of T-28 vs T-6. It had some good info, and some good humor, at least on the part of the T-6 guys, IN MY OPINION. Anyway BDK gave a good summary of the pros and cons of each type. Then, guess what, THERE IT WAS. under cons for T-28, he wrote about "Cracks in Horizontal Stab, Mod."
So at least one other guy seemed to have the same impression or info that I had, and 12 months before this current topic, for whatever that is worth. Now if you look at BDK's photo, he is mostly hot air, with a little vinyl thrown in, and has no ears, so he could be right or wrong, but I know I didn't invent the idea. He also does not believe in global warming, which seemed silly until 2 nights ago when Denver broke the all time cold record for this date of 14 below zero. Hmmm. I think I'll look more.
