This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Tom,
Thanks for the photos. I see from the last pic of the B-25 that
Mr. Reilly is still doing his photo pass on just one engine. Sure nice to
see that blue sky too.

Who's F-86 is that? Dont think I have ever seen a picture of that one... unless it is a new paint scheme.
That is a unique looking Yak!

I think that is Ed Shipley's Sabre.

IT'S NOT SHIPLEY'S... I THINK HIS NAME IS WYATT FULLER AND HE DESIGNS MOTORCYCLES FOR HARLEY DAVISON... I WAS AT TICO ON SATURDAY AND THIS BIRD IS EVEN MORE BEAUTIFUL IN PERSON !!!

Owned and operated by Flying Fossils LLC of Hickory, NC... yes, Wyatt Fuller is the pilot and owner. You should see the colors that are going to go on their T-33... absolutely stunning! Wish I had photos to share of it.

Very nice indeed, Tom. Particularly nice skies - did you use a polarising filter?

That is a really sharp looking Yak! The F-86 isn't bad either.

Yak 7 ???
Salut Olivier.
Where did this one came.
One of the recent Yak 3 build / conversion to -7 ?
Or a more recent Yak 11 conversion ?
The prop seems to have a tad of a downward angle in the inflight picture.
See ya all

According to the Warbird Directory the Yak is a modified Yak-11 from the Capel/Salis Egyptian recovery. It was sold to Bob Day of Bloomfield Hills, MI who rebuilt it to look like a Yak-7UTI. The name below the canopy says Bob Murphy, so I guess that is the current owner. Have to admit that I don't think a 7 looks as nice as the 3 or 9. But then again why not keep it as a Yak-11, as that is what it is!

Great shots!
That may be the prettiest F-86 flying today.
I can't believe no one commented on the three place Wildcat!
I flew a T-6 down to Sun N' Fun 97 and they always have a flyout to the Leeward Air Ranch. While looking at the resident Grumman AF-2S Guardian, I almost missed the Wildcat parked nearby. It was a Wildcat I hadn't seen since Oshkosh back in the 70's and it has a hatch on the side and leather interior, with two seats facing aft. Note the small round window on the side near the stars and bars. Mr. Dick Foote was flying it and he said that he indeed had owned the aircraft for something like 30 years and had retired and moved to Florida. He said the three seat conversion caused aft CG problems and so he didn't take passengers anymore! Are there any two seat conversions?

I love the Yak-7, it really looks mean.
Salut Michel!
