Because the first question about The McConnell Story is Who is McConnell? Now I know the answer as do you and most WIXers but the general public has sadly long forgotten the highest scoring American ace of the Jet age.

A former boss of mine was a cousin of Capt. McConnell, and his dad was also a Naval Aviator. Small world theory at work.
