I have a soft spot for animals as well. I've spent my fair share on them over the years...money well spent.

Beyond the 25th Christmas with my blushing bride...I got some camera memory, best buy gift card and a new Saitek X52 joy stick!

I got some new quilted shirts and a stainless steel wallet. We kept Christmas pretty low key for the adults this year. The big present for us was being able to pay cash for everything despite the events that we were hit by this year.
We are looking forward into 2009 with the hope and determination that we will be able to get back on track with efforts to get our airplanes restored and nearer to flying.

Biggest surprise was receiving a couple of more bits for my Voodoo panel project on the 24th!

For those of you keeping score:
IMHO - Top WIX Gifts so far:
Lex's microfilm
Eric's vintage siren
"Our" best gift was a little red cottage on a lake we bought last Spring, so this Christmas $$ were already spent (and paid for) months ago.
View on the lake with my wife of 37+ years...priceless.

She came a few weeks early, but she's still the best Christmas present I've ever had. Thanks to the One who's the reason for the season!
Many, many congratulations, Rob! Sounds like she already has Dad pretty-tightly wound around her little finger.
How 'bout some pics?

Got this... a few weeks early
I ended up finding this 1999 second generation (NB) MX-5 in Emerald Mica (Green) at the BMW dealership in North Scottsdale. It's funny because I thought getting it at a BMW dealer would make it pricey, but their used car sales folks brought it in at a VERY reasonable price. She's got 55,000 miles on the odo and is in fantastic condition.
It's my first manual transmission car and after a few days of learning on my own, it's become second nature to me... and I prefer driving the 5-speed over an automatic now! It was a hoot driving with the top down on Christmas... something that I could NOT do in New England!
And yeah, I've heard all the cracks on how Miatas are chick cars and whatnot -- and I don't really care. I always liked the small British-style sports car and since I can't afford a new Austin Healey or Jag and don't have the patience to maintain a Triumph or MG, I thought the Miata was the next best thing. And no, I couldn't find a Honda S2000 for the price I paid -- I got a fun car on a budget for Christmas. I told my wife that this was all I wanted for Christmas...

Shirt, socks, flashlight, ammunition, and a sweet custom decal of my Mooney that I put in my pickup window.
Was a good Christmas!

For Christmas the American Aeronuatical Foundation received notice that we are officially new leasees of land to build a huge hanger to house our fleet of aircraft at Camarillo Airport! Hanger should be 200' by 150'
Needless to say, with a new tow tug donated by Skywest Airlines and All the free paint we can handle for the C-47 restoration this month, this tops our cake!

Now for fundraising and Government Grants to come our way. Anyone have 1.2 Million i can borrow to build the hanger this week....Naw, nevermind, that would take all the work out of it!
