Stripper pole and a trampoline.

You didn't say "productive", you just said "ultimate".

And some Red Green as well!

Or arrange a series of trampolines around a stripper pole!

I like the way you guys think.

Lots of good lighting overhead, lots of "safe" portable work lights and light colored walls & ceiling so you can actually see what the heck you are doing. You can always turn them off for the strippers...
Add motion-detector activated lighting for store rooms, utility rooms & bathrooms - they will pay for themselves quickly in energy savings.
Don't forget good exterior lighting for your auto parking area and a/c apron.
Make sure you have a good-sized separate area for parts cleaning with appropriate work surfaces that can stand-up to the cleaners being used.
Don't forget "comfort mats" (or whatever the heck they call them) for those long-term standing-up duties. They save my legs & back when working at the bench in my shop.
Big thumbs up for everyone that has suggested heated floor - the only way to go for large spaces like a hangar.
Spend the right money to have a top quality floor poured & sealed to avoid problems in the near future.
Make sure the exterior entryway is covered and well lit, so you don't end up standing in the rain/snow and in the dark fishing for keys or punching in the security code at some ungodly hour of the day. Its often some ungodly hour of the day.
A good kitchen, including an ice-maker and a dishwasher! Or a maid...

Need a scoreboard (lighted) too, for rating landings of pilots.

Hand cranked air raid siren.

Well, if you are talking "ultimate!" the mother of all dreams would be to convert Templehof terminals in Berlin. The massive, cavernous (and beautiful/historic) buildings are now empty and it seems that no part of the govt, can come up with any idea for their use. They are in danger of eventually rotting away and wasted.

I could think of a good use for the terminal in Berlin. >>>MOD EDIT FOR CONTENT<<< Maybe with a museum also.

Sounds good so far.
In the attached machinery shop would also be a press for forming work. A Blanchard grinder (I really miss mine, should have kept it :( ), numerous Burr-Kings with various belts, laser for cutting, MIG and TIG welders and a new forklift.
One more attached building, a firing range. 8)

Not a bad idea Bill. The size would leave plenty of room for some historic aviation projects.

A heated floor is definitely the way to go. Quiet and efficient. It basically acts like a big radiator. I can open up the bi-fold door in the winter and close it a short time later and the temp in the hangar comes right back up.

I have a separate meter for the heat that is controlled by a “turtle” that the power company can turn off during the day. I get a significant discount from that, and the coldest it ever gets is 55 in the hangar, which is good enough for me. Eventually I would like to replace the commercial hot water hear unit for an electronic one.

Don’t forget the “Whenzit Gonna Fly?” can on top of the fridge for collection of dollar bills.

With global warming the type of heat is a mute point, no?

Enemy Ace, it is your topic. BUT the issue of the big Templehoff hangars and terminal in Berlin was not mine, it was brought up by "Barnbstormer". I only commented on it. And the mod edit altered the meaning of my post.
Obviously the govt there is not going to make use of that building to preserve American aircraft, and probably not even German ones. But they might use it to help the people that were victims.

And it it certainly as much on topic as Ober's "global warming" joke. Since it was 7 below zero here last night, I could use some warming about now. Sure is a beautiful day though, lots of clean white snow and blue skies.

By the way, Ace, my niece you wrote about is actually a Mother of 4, married to a Baptist preacher, an honor graduate of U T, a ranked JR tennis player, a skier, a hunter, and far too smart for most pilots.

And to be right on topic, my guess is radiant floor heat might be good, it is cleaner tha forced air and might be cheaper.

After discovering a fire starting in one of the barns last night due to a shorting out light fixture, it got me to thinking about fire protection for the ultimate hangar/workshop.
What would be the way to go as far as fire detection, alarm and suppression?
