The Cameron Mustang is cool... except for the fact that
the '51 is one of those airplanes that if you change any
line/dimension a quarter of an inch, you've "ruined"
the airplane!

That canopy and small spinner doesn't work for me...

To each his own of course.

Of interest regarding Murdo Cameron's airplane...

After Piper closed the books on the PA-48 in 1984/85, much of the engineering information was given to him for his work on the P-51G (or whatever the current name of it is...)

Additionally, you might take advantage of your USAF background, and write books on the F-15, and T-38..

All depends on how successful I am with this first one!! My 'writing' career will either be off to a great start or dead in the water!

:)

Actually, I have contributed previously to some excellent books on both those topics. Steve Davies has written 3 or 4 excellent books on the F-15 that he's interviewed me for and I've helped proofread and such, and I also worked with Willy Peeters on a recent book he published for modelers on the T-38, providing a bunch of photos and technical advisory.

For anyone interested on either of those two airplanes, I recommend checking out the works of Mr Davies and Mr Peeters.

Has anyone actually bought one of those Cameron Mustangs?
I've looked through the website and it all looks too good to be true.
