I have the Serial Number (77498) of an F5F-5 that was lost from the USS Randolph flying with VF 12 on 5/18/45. I'm trying to find out what the individual unit marking was. From pictures I have seen, they used a large number just aft of the cockpit.
Just wondering if anyone might know how to find it.
