I have so much respect for the SOCOM community (Seals, Green Berets, Force Recon, Pararescue, Rangers, and the rest). I was a "Navy Seal" every halloween until I was about 12 (when I stopped dressing up and trick or treating).

Sadler was an interesting fella. He was a real grab your balls and charge kind of guy, wrote a fantasy series called Casca the Eternal Soldier, which was about the roman soldier who stabbed Christ with a spear and was cursed to roam the Earth until Christ came again...
Then he went and started training Contras until he got shot in the head in Guatemala city for it. Crazy story, really. But true.

I'm surprised I never hear about Barry Seal in here. His story was a real whopper as well.
