Its a funny old world. It seems but an instant ago that two of the parties on this thread were 'hammer and tongs' on a WIX/FF spat that required a light dusting from an 'historic' moderator.
What are your objectives here gentlemen?
Do you want to fix the problem on FF, and there clearly is one, or do you just want to slag it off, spectate, and hope it degrades?

Hi Peter
as I've already said, 'the moderator in question' and his machinations don't bother me very much.
However, he like a number of others on FP these days seems to think displays of ignorance are the way forward.
An example of this was your very good (no I'm not a crawler) thread about preserved aircraft in India recently--the only comment that he seemed willing to make was about Dulux and some other snide comments about the state of preservation.
Of course, we know that all aircraft preserved in the UK are in spotless 100%--fly-a-way condition. So why the need to comment--racial snobbery no doubt.
I happen to know that you've worked quite hard to attract a wider audience to the FP historic forum but with some of the sh*tty comments about peoples efforts there in recent times and the seemingly endless I'm an expert blah, blah--I know that many are put off.
The last and final straw for me was the thread about Bob Chinnery's lovely Yak 11 restoration.
Some Tw*t goes on the thread and says 'why is there a large knurled knob sticking out of the instrument panel? Looks like a health and safety issue to me'
How about because the nice people at Yakovlev put it there!!--Write and ask them.
It was at that point that I asked myself had I the patience to read through this anymore and the answer was no.
Some personal issues cloud this too though.
I've no wish to discuss those here.
PM me if you want a chat anytime.
Cheers
Andy
PS. Sorry again Scott for bringing this onto your forum.
