Since people seem to think that the off-topic section is for political discussion, something that is frowned upon, I have temporarily closed the section. ANY political discussions in any other forum will be deleted and the user suspended. I have had it with the politically motivated comments.

I posted a story about OJ going to prison and it gets pulled because someone thinks it is political. there was not one thing in there that was not true, and if you read it and thought of someone else, that shows where your mind is............................

Speaking of football how about them Longhorns. Should be National Champs Friday no matter what happens to the Oakies!

say what what?

I rarely start topics, BW. I was thinking of starting one on the Mars Mission in OT. 8) But I'm sure that one would be mauled by people claiming it is a left wing conspiracy to advance the gay, communist, welfare agenda somehow. So why bother?

It could be a fun thread if only that outcome wasn't so certain.

As long as craziness like the Trojans inability to play with the big boys keeps happening, it doesn't matter anyway. I keep wondering when the whole college ball system will get fixed, but I guess there is too much cash involved now.

A real playoff system, and changes to teh whole amateur college status thing will have to happen befire I'll take it seriously. But I do have to admit I still loves my Tigers :p

Use the BCS rankings to start a 16 team playoff for the championship. Model it after the NFL, higher seed gets home field advantage. The championship game is at a different city each year like the superbowl. (I want to see Florida come up and play at Ohio State in January with 1' of snow and 10 degrees outside)

Then keep the rest of the bowls for the teams below them. Lots of good games to watch.

Think about it... Florida vs. USC, Texas vs. OSU (with an experienced Pryor), Utah vs. Texas Tech, ya know, things like that.

On a side not, who has USC played this year? Remember everyone things OSU sucked so that doesn't count. What makes them so great when they play no body hard?

*&^%$@ Longhorns suck...
