This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

I'll be 20 in April. Been going to air museums and air shows since before I could walk.

I'm 36, however I started this adventure at the ripe old age of 23.
By 25, I was walking the ramp at Tempelhof with Gail Halvorsen, both of us just having arrived by C-54. (50th Anniversary of Airlift)
Never in a million years did I expect to have all of the opportunities to go the places I've gone and meet the people I've met over the years.

Kid says, "when I grow up I wanna be a pilot!!"
Mom looks at the kid and says sternly, "You can't do both...."

Warbirdcrew, if you are looking for a fight today, it will have to be with someone else. My side is feeling pretty good and about to get even better.
Steve, that's a good saying and a great photo with you title. You are never really old until you start thinking you are, and a little yellow J3 is a great thing for keeping one young.
