It's a P-40F......I hope it gets flying soon. That thing has been in restoration forever! :(

I was THIS (shows small space between index finger and thumb) close to taking it home with me!!!

You see the blankets and sheets over top of it? I figured that would be enough of a disguise to at least sneak it out of the hangar. Then I figured that before I came home from Australia I'd get a few more blankets at the local Coles or Woolworth's to get it though customs.

But alas, they were none the wiser and prevented me from getting it any further than you see it in that picture. It didn't help that the d*mn thing was on jacks...

Next time...

Next tme...

The Merlin does give it a different snout arrangement.

Prop hub, rads & all.

There's a couple in the linked thread. I'll dig a few more out if people want.

WOW...A Merlin powered P-40  Hope I get to see/hear it. Chances are pretty slim, though. Unless I go to Oz. Chances of that are REALLY slim.

The Fighter Collection are working on the cores for this one and their own P-40F
