When all else fails, just build your own! There's plenty of cheap land available in South Texas. He should just buy about 500 acres and build his own runway, facilities and museum.

That's encouraging to hear, though!

BUILD IT, AND THEY WILL COME! :D

What all does he have now?

I guess they'll just have to join the two fuselages together with a common wing and make a Twin Sea Fury! Just think, two 3350's pumping out some 3000 hp each, for 6000+ hp together! That would certainly give the rest of the field a run for their money.

Why do you think he bought two Sea Furies? Wait till you see the Twin Tigercat!!!! Four screamin 2800s' in close formation!!!

Oooo, good point, Ober! I forgot about that one! Nothing like seeing a 4 engine plane rounding the pylons at Reno. I don't think that's been done since '97 when FiFi flew the course!

Why stick to 2800's? If you're gonna modify it, just go all the way. How about four 4360's with Nitro and ADI! :)

While you're at it, put a thin airfoil on it too, like a Lear or Sabre wing.

Stew Dawson was rumoured at Reno to be retiring Spirit of Texas from racing. I have no idea whether this might be true or not, but it would now make sense with 232 available. He certainly is a great and very experienced Gold race pilot at this point.

It is also rumoured that Mr. Lewis will be attending PRS in June and plans to start racing himself...

This is Rod Lewis on the left and Stew on the right. Photo by my wife Birgitta...

Do a search of the forum here. It's been posted within the last year or two.

I've heard rumors that he has another unique one on the way as well, but I don't want to spill the beans. He told one of our wing members about it at Fredericksburg.
